India has been a republic only since 1950. We became free in 1947. To be a republic was our choice of the kind of nation we wished to be. Which was, as in most things Indian, a superb idea in principle and a complete mess in execution. So on this 67th Republic day of our glorious nation let me set out some hopes I have. I have just a little hope these hopes will come true but what do we have if we give up hope? It was the only blessing to emerge from Pandora’s box which was surely opened in India, not Greece.

Reduce the population, dammit. We have too many people to ever amount to anything valuable in the world. This nuisance of perpetually trembling on the verge of significance has to cease. Naturally this requires will and commitment which are not popular options. Moral pontification and pipe dreams about Vikas are much pleasanter and have been installed as operating systems. This wont do. “Earth not Birth” as the excitable slogan says. Earth will survive. We wont.

One Law for All Citizens. Yeah and one day there will be world peace also. But if we don’t do this we will remain perpetual children in a social political and psychological sense.

Free the Hindu temple. Hindu community funds have been hijacked by the state and used for myriad purposes none of which serve the Hindus. This must cease. Hindus are paying Jaziya when they put money into a sarkari controlled temple hundi. Stop this rubbish. Starve the maw.

Repeal RTE. Right now. It is a matter of shame and disgrace that this biased and prejudiced law which is a scorched earth policy for Hindu educational institutions is being implemented with most vigor in BJP ruled states.

Politics is Downstream of Culture, so can we please, pretty please, work to drive all the Cultural Marxists Adharmis into irrelevance? They have ruined the culture with their vicious disdain for Hinduism and their constant pandering to the worst segments.

Learn your sacred texts, Hindus. The only people who read them seem to be the afore mentioned Cultural Marxist Adharmis and they lie about them every second, on principle – and you swallow their bullshit like it was Prasad. I have never seen a single Hindu who could accurately quote the Gita or any Upanishad who was an enemy of the religion. The operative word being accurate, not misrepresentation and flat out lying.

Start a sadhana. If you have done so, commit like a tiger on a hunt to develop shakti. Take your kids to temples and pilgrimages. Culture is alive when participated in, not observed.

Lean to fight. Trust me. Learn.

The Dharma and the Nation alone counts. Not particular people or a party no matter how much you wish to develop a sense of identity by joining a bhajan mandali. Grow up instead of being children. The nation is already a senior citizen but the citizens are stuck in childhood.

Trust in your own self. Value your own self. When enough of us do that, it becomes a national destiny and then, and ONLY THEN, things happen.

So to all – Jai Hind, Jai Bhavani Bharati, Vande Mataram!

Why India does not have a revolution

Tags

, , , , , , , , , , ,

Why don’t the Indian people rise up in anger over their unbearable lot? This is the eternal question. Mexico, to take just one example, raised its fuel prices and the whole country is in uproar. Years back I had read one answer. I did not know it was important so I did not save the magazine. The explanation basically goes like this. Revolts happen when at least 70 per cent of the populace has reached a certain level of nutrition.{I regret i no longer recall the number and Google Search has failed me.} You need spare biological energy to come out and riot consistently. Since India is malnourished, undernourished and nutrition deficient all at the same time, various levels of the population existing at various stages, there is no chance of a violent explosion that will go nationwide.
There is surely something in this. The last great revolt we saw was in 1857, after which the British embarked upon an even more ruthless implementation of their already running policy of deliberate starvation. The Raj was appalling in so many ways but famines were their unique signature and all of them were man made. And North Korea will never have a revolution too, because they are the most nutrition deprived country on the planet.
The other explanation is what sociology calls the ‘Rising Expectations” model of revolution. When there is tyranny and harsh control the populace stays compliant. When some restrictions are loosened, the public feel they are not enough and ask for more. When that does not happen, boom. Both the French and Bolshevik revolutions broke out when the ruling class eased up a bit and tried to mollify the citizens with some reforms and personal liberties. Even Gorbachev tried to ride this tiger with the same fatal results. Glasnost and Perestroika brought the entire CCCP empire crashing down, instead of lengthening its lifespan.
Nutrition issues are linked to our impossible population. Then there is also environmental degradation which also comes back to population and its needs. All gains are lost instantly because of this insatiable maw that grinds unceasingly. Nobody is interested in tackling the core problem we face as a nation. So we are doomed to keep bailing out the sea water in a leaky sinking boat and call it hopeful things like Vikas. Which is bakwas.
When people say “There will be a revolution soon in India,” nah, I don’t think so.

J. Jayalalitha 1948 – 2016 Hail & Farewell

Puratchi Thalaivai Dr Dr Dr J Jayalalitha has finally lost the big fight. She took on everything life threw at her and beat it but she was human after all and this one nobody wins. Not yet anyway. The 3 Drs were how posters used to refer to her while in her second term when she encouraged sycophancy and grovelling from all and sundry and universities tumbled over each other to give her honorary degrees. She was a genuine Super Star – first in the movies and then in politics. To be a Brahmin and a woman in the casteist macho culture of Tamil Nadu and to dominate the sphere, people do not realize the magnitude of the achievement.

jayalalithaa_650x400_61480962830

She had many flaws – a limitless appetite to accumulate resources was one. This imperiousness and comfort with flatterers was another – but on the other hand her social initiatives to improve the lives of women and children were real and significant. And the roads of Tamil Nadu are the best in the whole country. To do well to your society you do not have to be perfect or even a particularly nice person. But she was a nice person who was scarred by her experiences in the film industry and became paranoid. Subramanian Swamy made this diagnosis and he is usually quite accurate about personality.

vlcsnap-2016-07-04-13h53m10s33

Considering how physically disabled she became in her last days it is saddening to recall what a live wire she was in her prime. Watch her only Hindi movie Izzat, where she is miscast as the fair Southie accented fluent Hindi speaking tribal girl and Dharmendra puts on boot polish to play a Dalit. The song Jaagi Badan mein jwala is going to get a lot of views on YouTube. There was also a movie with Shivaji Ganeshan where she begins a song routine by jumping a clear three feet into the air. No run up, just up like a rocket, which is incredible from a physical point of view. So her infirmities of age must have been particularly galling for such a proud person.

I always liked her because she used to be on the side of Hindus. She did get the Shankaracharya arrested which was a terrible blunder and she suffered for it, but she was by and large not anti Hindu unlike the normal politician where it is a miserable instinct. She brought in an anti conversion bill, she launched a scheme where all the neglected temples of Tamil Nadu had at least one pooja a day performed. These are not small things. But her finest hour was when the UPA tried to sneak in a diabolical law about communal riots where only the Hindus would be held culpable. Not one non Hindu in public life that I know of has ever condemned this evil initiative nor do I expect them to. I know their nature too well by now. Fali Nariman did, but he is a Parsi and also a constitutionalist so he doesn’t count. The Pradhan Sevak did what he always does in matters that concern Hindus, maintained a Fakiri maun on this incredible assault. The BJP, however sent in Venkaiah Naidu as always, to fiercely oppose this and Jayalalitha, god bless her Brahminical heart, came out punching with fury in rubbishing this. I do not forget such things, and not forgetting, I am grateful.

As to the rest, she was a politician and did what she had to do to survive. Unlike so many others I do not expect perfection. She was good enough. The story has ended. The Legend has already begun.

Hamartia, Hubris, Nemesis – the inexorable process of fall.

Contrary to popular perception, Hubris is not simply pride and arrogance. It is overwhelming presumption of virtue, to set oneself up as an equal of the gods. In India it means that one has broken the bounds of Maryada, as Ravana did. But Hubris is the peak point when it all goes wrong and starts turning rancid. Before that the peak is attained by Hamartia. That is translated as ‘fatal flaw’ but that is a complete misnomer. Hamartia is the destiny encoded in the bones because of character and personality. {Ethos anthropos daimon} It is the quality that will cause you to rise and succeed and then will bring you down, because it transgresses maryada and then becomes Hubris. I suppose ahamkaram is the Hindu equivalent of this untranslatable and quite incredible insight about human nature.

When Hubris manifests, only the seers recognize it at first. They vainly try to warn the great man that he is going to get it in the neck from the gods who do not tolerate presumption. But Hubris is like a snowballing avalanche and the person in its grip is deaf and blind to reality. Soon enough everybody can see that the fall is well underway. That is the advent of Nemesis, the Punishment of Fate for such actions. Nemesis is supposed to move slowly and inexorably after the offender. All can see the horrible end developing which is why it is called a Greek Tragedy, the Great Man will be brought down by his own self, his Hamartia poisons him and hands him over to Hubris and then one day Nemesis overtakes him on the Path of Life. Which is when truly dreadful things happen, and Greek theatre made the rule that all the rough stuff should be implied, never actually shown on stage, for when Nemesis grips you it is an awful sight. Awe full. one is aghast with pity and terror and fear at what happens to a once great human. {I dont think we have an exact equivalent to Nemesis the best I could infer was the Advent of Kaala. It is Kaala samhara murti when Shiva kicks away Yama from Markandeya hence my inference.}

It has been an interesting month. Last year in December I was the great and cool Guru who commented with wisdom and grace on social issues. I got an enormous spike in friend requests from people who thought i was a fellow traveler. After I had called the election of Trump in January I was at the peak of my popularity on November 8. But on November 9 I posted against this ongoing farce at a time everybody was in literal raptures. I am now the nasty guy who is bringing everybody down. People are sniping at me in what I must admit are quite creative and amusing ways. I laugh and then block their retarded asses- for stupidity does not fly with me. I have never taken seriously the supposed respect given to Gurus. I always knew it was bullshit posturing that only lasted as long as they were saying things the audience already agreed with. Confirmation bias. I am still the same guy speaking about what is plainly evident in front of his nose, but others don’t seem to inhabit the same reality. Hubris has activated and Nemesis will set out soon enough. There is no remission from this, no escape. My commitment is to the Sanathana Dharma and Bharatavarsham not to individuals. no matter how great, and certainly not when they are in the grip of Hubris like this.

So those who wish to live in their mutually reinforcing echo chamber of a dream world – enjoy it while you can. You may not believe in reality but Reality believes in you. The Ground is always present no matter how high you soar and it is your choice if you will crash into it or settle gently.
Sarvam Shivamaym!

DON’T BE THIS KIND OF LOSER – BE A DIFFERENT SORT

There are two infallible giveaways that you are about to interact with a Loser. When the very first communication they ever have with you includes a request for your phone number so that they can speak with you. That is one. Two is when they add, or write separately requesting a chat on email or call – “It will take just five minutes.”. Each one of these are bad enough on their own. Together they guarantee you are in the presence of a galactic level Loser, somebody who is their own Death Star to themselves.
Now I know it is but human nature to think well of ourselves. But this astonishing crowd of people who think that your life is an arid desert, until you speak to them, whereupon it becomes that Valley of Flowers in Himachal –exactly how stupid and deluded does a person have to be? If you approach somebody who is perceived to be successful and able to help you they certainly did not get that way by having chit chat with random strangers. If you cannot write out what it is you wish to say, that shows how much you respect the other persons’ time. What, struggling to formulate sentences is beneath your dignity? This astonishing conviction exists that they posses dulcet siren tones which will convince you no sooner do you hear them. Somebody who is not willing to put in 15 minutes of effort to clarify their thoughts are not going to have anything worth my time or the time of anybody who has a life.
This ‘just five minutes’ is a lie. It is said to get a foot into the door and it relies on human politeness. It is never five minutes and when the drivel they ask has been dealt with there is always – “one last thing, just one more thing.” Once I wanted to see how far this entitlement would go. There were 32 supplementary questions, all of them being the one last thing. You cant make up this sort of rubbish. Only life can provide.
You tell them to their face I am not interested, don’t bother me, but they are deaf to everything but their need. Just yesterday I was trying to shrug off one of these pests even warning him openly that if he persisted I would block him but he was typing away up to the moment I used the axe. Then he got his wife to send me a message!!! So I blocked her too. I mean, really. Have some dignity. It is well established you have no shame – or basic comprehension of the English language. People send links, queries and you tell them not to do it in strong terms. They hold back for just a couple of days and then the compulsion activates and they are back on track. Nowadays I just shrug it off and block them at first offense. Inadequate socialization is to blame I suppose but I am too irritated to care.
A minor subset of this nuisance is people who are convinced they are Enlightened but they would really like a certificate from me to that effect. That is a whole other story. This pestilence is a young person phenomenon but old people who have retired and found the internet also play a part in it. I know there is no hope for these people but I trust the knowledge shared here will enable them to conceal their mental disabilities for a while longer than usual. I am generous like that. You are welcome, losers.

A Masculine Hindu Yogi as PM is unacceptable to many in India

Modi

That our PM is unacceptable to a great many fellow Indians is not news. But why they get into such carpet chewing fits of anger, raving and frothing in their incredible fury, this has always been a bit of a puzzle. Forget all the guff about riots and so on. Rajiv Gandhi was associated with much worse and he was never out of favor in this way. But Narendra Modi has been hated since he became CM of Gujarat, and since he is PM it is nutbaggery of the weirdest stripe.

I have thought a bit on this and offer my conclusions. Modi is a Yogi. Modi is Masculine. Modi is unapologetically Hindu. These 3 qualities trigger such deep unease in a certain segment of people, they lose all sanity in their responses.

The Hindu part is easy. We have a PM who does not hide his religious identity as though it is some deep family shame – which is the expectation of the secularist scoundrels from Hindus in public life. The Hindu must be silent and deferential. Modi is neither. And he refuses to go along with the established rules of pandering, caps and shawls and parties and greetings and the all the rest of the posturing drivel that the self righteous and hypocritical adore, which is the entire secular leftist crowd. So when a new and powerful player in the game refuses to go along with the prevailing empty gestures, the well entrenched feel resentful. The Hindu is not supposed to have self-confidence like this. And a Hindu who does not defer and kowtow, that is unacceptable. It is the ruin of civilization. The End of Days. Or so it would seem if you took the demented screeching of these banshees seriously.

The Masculine part is not so easy. We are a feminized nation and other than in ridiculous caricature portrayals in movies, Masculinity is not a social virtue. Add to that the influx of Western contamination with leftist and social justice garbage and already any sort of masculine behavior is sneered at and called toxic, then patriarchal and of course, misogyny. That all of this is plain and simple misandry, the hatred of men, never occurs to these geniuses. It is rather tragic that the comment about Indira Gandhi, that she was the only man in her cabinet, may well apply to most of our PMS too. There is such a parade of blandness. Nehru was rampantly heterosexual but nobody would accuse him of being manly. He was a dandy first and last. Guzarilal Nanda, Shastri, soft and quiet types. Morarji Desai, a self righteous fuddy duddy remembered for his prescriptions of auto urine therapy alone. Charan Singh, swanking about as an earthly son of the soil but ran away from facing parliament. Rajiv Gandhi and V.P. Singh, both cut from the same cloth as well mannered well meaning failures. Chandrashekar whose ambition overran reality. Gowda of the ‘humble farmer’ remark fame, I.K. Gujral who is proof that only luck matters in life and above all Manmohan Singh, who was essentially an errand boy to his Imperious Mistress.

The two really great PMs we had other than Indira were masculine in peculiarly Indian ways {I would have liked to include Nehru as a great PM, for the serious work done in the first ten years after we became a Republic but he gave us our current mess of socialistic economy and secular polity. Such sins cannot be forgiven.} Vaypayee was a kalakaar type, the poet visionary while Narasimha Rao was the polyglot polymath Buddhijeevi, the intellectual. Both types are well understood in Hindu literature. But Modi is unabashedly male, and modern English speaking India is not used to such people. It is discomfort and unfamiliarity and soon becomes anger at a person who causes these unpleasant sensations.

It is the fact of Modi being a serious Yogi however arouses the implacable relentless hatred. Other people had superstitious beliefs and they used to outsource their spiritual requirements to willing collaborators. One such fiasco has just happened in Andra Pradesh where a supposedly grand Yagna has gone kaput. Modi has been in serious sadhana for four decades. The man works a good 12 hours a day{16 hours a day with no break sounds like propaganda}. Everybody bleats about Karma Yoga. Now we have an exemplary Karma Yogi in our midst and he is hated and reviled in a manner that would make demons out of hell pause. I am going to make a statement here from my own experience as a Yogi. I don’t expect anybody to buy this but I am saying it nevertheless. We have a spiritual person, a person in sadhana sitting at the top after centuries. This is a huge challenge to the Asura Prakriti that does not wish India to move forward. For if India becomes a power in the world then many things that are taken for granted will evaporate, and the Demonic powers of the world do not intend to give up their sway so easily. Yogis are aware of this but they are reticent to say so. In fact Francois Gautier of all people is the only public figure who says this openly. But this complete overreaction, this incomprehensible hatred of all things Modi, that is the prompting of the Asura Prakriti. People may or may not agree. I am saying it is so, from my own authority as a yogi.

As with the experience in Gujarat, the opposition died out only after he was elected for the third term. The next election will be the worst, the most nasty and disgusting and despicable show we will ever witness in our lifetimes as the Asura Prakriti will wheel in every gun they have. I think he will overcome. Opposition will not die but they will not be on 24/7 as at present.

For the rest I am thankful we have Narendra Modi as our PM.

TOLERANCE IS NOT FOR HINDUS ALONE

Tags

, , , , , , , , , , , ,

The uproar about a supposedly ‘rising intolerance’ shows no signs of dying down, mainly because the Hindu targets are not only NOT being shamed into silence they are returning fire and causing serious damage. In this bewildering new world, so unfamiliar to the asura prakriti that is the Indian secularist, they flounder around seeking any argument that will restore control of the debate to them.

They know they are on shaky ground here so a few test balloons are being sent up. The Hindu response has been to persistently point out the double standards and hatred towards Hindus that this so called crisis demonstrates. “Where were you when…?” and “What About…?”, are like acid baths to the secularists for their complete lack of intellectual integrity and disgraceful prejudice against Hindus are exposed. They have no answer, so they seek to pretend none is needed. Even Rajcreep Sarhad desh ki hai , yes I know, a cheap shot – sought to weakly justify the murder of anti cow slaughter activist Poojari as political activism gone wrong and hence not as bad as Dadri. Which is just about the slimiest evasion possible but only people completely without honor and even common decency become Indian secularists to begin with so it surprises nobody at all.

“Rationalism” and crusades against “superstition” are activities targeted against Hindu religious beliefs and practices alone. Nobody gets into a flap over the Missionaries of Charity shutting down their orphanages for they do not wish to follow the government regulations that single parents be allowed to adopt. The reason they gave is appalling and insulting – they fear single parents may groom the kids into becoming gay! One would think at least the gay organizations would protest against this incredible slur, but one would be wrong for most gay outfits are stuffed to the gills with secularists and criticism of anybody other than Hindus is verboten. I don’t particularly mind what the Nuns did, that is their belief, the Government said you cant act so, and they shut down rather than compromise their beliefs. And nobody had a damn thing to say. This is just one sad example of the all pervasive double standard, criticism is for Hindus alone. Well Hindus wont stand for it any more and that is ALL that this so called controversy is about.

One old decrepit scientist of sorts returned his national award protesting “the government’s attack on rationalism, reasoning and science”. What evidence is there that these qualities he so professes to love were ever addressed to the Muslims by his pompous self? He objects to the RSS chief having views on marriage and dress codes. Again any feedback to the Muslims for their particular views on these matters?

This burden of being reasonable and scientific and progressive and tolerant is always that of the Hindu ALONE. Everybody else is allowed to run riot being as backward and reactionary as possible and it will be explained and rationalized and apologized for. Well the Hindu is refusing to carry this burden of tolerance and accommodation any longer as a perpetual one way street. Others have to join in, and carry their full share of the weight too. This template was set in place by none other than Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi which is why it has such enduring strength. All the responsibilities, accommodation, understanding patience, tolerance, only the Hindus need to display it, and do so even when provocation and insults reach insane levels. The reluctance to put the blame for this where it belongs is one of our great social failures.

Of course the worthless tribe of irrelevance called the leftist historians got into the act and launched a series of holier than thou broadsides. “What the regime seems to want is a kind of legislated history, a manufactured image of the past, glorifying certain aspects of it and denigrating others, without any regard for chronology, sources or methods of enquiry that are the building blocks of the edifice of history,” the statement said. This is just about the most breathtakingly shameless statement ever put out in public discourse for this is precisely what they were doing all these years!!! First they lie about Aryan Invasion fantasies, then they lie that temples were not demolished and if they were it was never for religious reasons, and now they project precisely their habitual behavior onto the current regime. It comes from a staggering level of entitlement and self regard, -The statement urged the state to ensure an atmosphere that is “conducive to free and fearless expression, security for all sections of society and the safe-guarding of the values and traditions of plurality that India had always cherished in the past.”
“It is easy to trample them down, but it is important to remember that it will take too long and will be beyond the capacity of those who are currently at the helm of affairs, to rebuild it once it is destroyed,” the statement said.

So there you have it. We are better than you, we have more ‘capacity’, which is a North Indian slang term for sexual stamina en passant, and we think you should obey us, your betters. The most mentally retarded cockroach is at present a life form with more credibility than the Indian leftist historian so we can leave it at that. This culture has lasted 6000 years without leftist historians to guide us, perhaps because this social disease did not exist for most of those 6000 years!

The unspoken social assumption all these years was that the Hindu would remain in Namaste Mudra practicing permanent Mauna Vrata and the Mullah Marxist Missionary Macaulayite madar….well, well let that last M be … would have perpetual control and direction of social discourse. Now the Hindu is insisting on being heard and also on the primacy of their voice. This is unacceptable to the entrenched establishment forces, which is too bad for them. They are redundant, refuse, not even recyclable.

Double standards, double standards everywhere. When Hindus seek to perform Bali, that is regressive and cruel. When Muslims want to do Kurbani that is acceptable religious practice. When Hindus are bribed into converting by evangelical and oil money that is a constitutional practice of propagating religion. When Hindus do Ghar Wapsi that is cultural hegemony and fascism. Karva Chauth is patriarchy, Halloween is the height of cool. About this award returning ongoing farce Vidya Balan had the only sensible thing to say – National awards are from the nation, not parties or governments, so one should not return them. Nobody wants to be the bad guy and criticize Vidya who is a universal favorite so this statement has been met with embarrassed silence. In Bengal, 30 Muslim families in a village oppose a Durga puja and 300 Hindu families have to go elsewhere to worship Durga. In Bengal!!! That I have lived to see this day is saddening beyond words. Now it will go to the High Court and there has been some muted debate on TV, but that such a thing could even happen is batshit insane.

Personally my breaking point was reached when the Congress brought out the draft of the Communal Violence Bill and sought to make it an article of law that no matter the facts the Hindu alone would be punished if fights broke out! The BJP and Jayalaitha, God bless her Brahminical heart, opposed this. Today Tamil Nadu has shut down a folk singer for criticizing her government, and again there is muted response. This does not fit into any category that can attack Hindus so it is being ignored. I also lost all respect for non-Hindu Indians when I saw that not a single one, bar Fali Nariman, who is Parsi, protested against the evil and astonishing bias of the Communal Violence Bill. Not one, Not One Single One. Not then, not now even. For this is what they want, a permanently demonized and legally discriminated against Hindu society.

After this particular development I started speaking up on these matters calling out the double standards, and immediately on Facebook the Abrahamics started un-friending me. Which is Nataraja Kripa. But I learned about how a Hindu in India is supposed to comport himself if he wants non-Hindu Indians in his life. It was most educative. Currently, approval of non-Hindus means two things to me – diddly and squat.

Reveal yourself as my enemy, trust me I will not forget. The Hindu secularist is rather like a male feminist, neither fish nor fowl, infused with self loathing and essentially a traitor to all that is good and true, but that is neither here not there. This failure of non-Hindus to speak up on this issue has left me with a deep wound that will never fill up. I wont forget and I wont forgive, not even if the sun goes nova. Like the rest I will care only about my people from now on.

This business of supposed rationalists being murdered, the police are investigating aren’t they? Where is this ocean of innuendo and insinuation coming from that hardcore Hindu groups are whacking people they don’t approve of? Where is the evidence? Well? Previous governments began the dangerous social solution of extra judicial murders whenever things got out of control. That was how the Naxals were wiped out of Bengal, the Khalistanis from Punjab and the Mafia from Mumbai. Indians went along with this violation of liberties, and I am reasonably certain they will do so in future also if such situations arise. We do not value due process and personal liberties at all. Which is not the issue here. Whenever a Muslim is caught doing something violent we are always told, terror had no religion, this does not reflect upon the community and it is the act of misguided people who are probably also insane. So even if some link to some Hindu groups are ever established all these specious arguments can and will be trotted out. Wont that be fun?

I would support any dispensation that would enforce one law and one set of standards equally for all Indians. But we have fragmented our society into special interest groups, who seek unfair advantages and immunity from the consequences of their actions. For nearly 70 years Hindus have stood by and watched hoping for sense to dawn. Now they are using the same playbook as all the others. Pandering has consequences. You sow the wind, you reap the whirlwind.

Facts no longer matter in our society. Even basic human decency seems to be a burden. Ideological purity is the only yardstick to determine social worth and personal value.

The DU/JNU crowd sent a ‘fact finding panel’ to Dadri, which is perhaps the biggest joke as yet in 2015. When you predetermine your conclusions and cherry pick your facts and interviews to suit those conclusions, you cannot be taken seriously. Like the religion they love so much this Leftist lot believes they alone have the sole possession of the complete truth and anybody with a divergent opinion on that demented claim is morally depraved. The right wing can also send a panel, perhaps even a team, and come to conclusions that suit them.

Nayantara Sahgal has returned her Sahitya Akademi award in protest against what she considers to be unacceptable Hindutva muscularity in the polity. My first thought was Good God this relic of ancient days is still alive? The next thought was, Why does she consider herself relevant? It is telling that almost all reports on this decrepit posturing did not stress her accomplishments, which seem to be feeble at best, but the irrelevant genetic accident that she happens to be the niece of Jawaharlal Nehru. This is the Indian mindset, where lip service is paid to Bheeshma but actual behavior is always modeled on the Nepotism of Dhritharashtra. Sri M is currently doing a padyatra, and one of his entourage is a great grandson of M.K. Gandhi. It depressed the hell out of me to read that people were coming up and touching the feet of the descendant. Sri M is a yogi and should know better than to strengthen this trope of nepotism but apparently not. It also explains why film stars and cricketers get so much mileage in India. You may get a start because of your blood but unless you perform you are in the dustbin soon enough.

About the silencing of voices the Niece of Principles had nothing to say about the Christian demand to shut down the play Agnes of God. Naturally not. Only Hindus should not protest when they feel their religious sensibilities are hurt. In a superb twist of irony the BJP- Sena government refused to ban the play. Of course they have their own gleeful reasons for that. One would think the leftist liberals would applaud this defense of free speech and critical thinking towards religious beliefs. One would be so wrong. And stupid if one was serious in thinking so.

Farhan Akhtar, who is an actor director of sorts wrote an anguished rumination on the Dadri killings which is okay but then he went off on the deep end and dragged in M.K.Gandhi as a clinching argument. This astonishing ability to doublethink and doubletalk is innate amongst Indians. Modern India has severed itself from all aspects of Gandhian thought. His ideas on frugality, sexuality, diet, economics, military, in which sphere does India pay the slightest heed to Gandhi? In what way does Akhtar himself follow anything Gandhian? It is a valid question considering where he works. We keep up this pretense of reverence and do everything that would have harrowed the old moralist to his core. In any other society it would have been called hypocrisy. In India it is normal.

Lalu Prasad Yadav made the blunder of his life with his comments on beef.

And all this ‘beefing’ is not getting anywhere. The ‘hurt sentiments’ argument, which was for so long used to condone minority aggressiveness has finally come home to roost. Dinanath Batra took down Wendy Doniger in a completely legal manner, using a law created to pander to ‘hurt sentiments’. Now that Hindus have adopted this particular playbook, people have suddenly woken up to its danger. There is still no desire to stand up for liberal values against all communities – only a forlorn hope that Hindus will go back to being meek cowards. The genie is out of the bottle and people are surprised it is wreaking havoc? Grow up.

The article linked below got over 13 300 shares within 24 hours of being posted. This sort of sharp and contemptuous response will be the norm in future to anti Hindu secularist lecturing.

Muslim Governments alone, not Muslim society, can stop Jihadis

As yet another predictable terror attack has been perpetrated in Paris, all the usual talking points have been trotted out. This not representative of all Muslims, this is not Islam and so on and so forth… we all know the drill by now. The thing is, this sort of response is leaking credibility at an absurd rate. The professional liberals, the politicians, and some parts of the media, only they say it – but most people have begun to mock and sneer and laugh at these counter points. Muslims inhabit an increasingly limited zone of credibility, but it is not their fault. It is the fault of their governments.

I am quite prepared to believe that the majority of Muslims are not like that though Bill Maher had a point that while they may not attack on their own accord they don’t exactly disapprove when such attacks are carried out. Let that be for now. One interesting nugget in the Australian café siege was that the police did not want a Muslim cleric to join the negotiator in talking to the kidnapper. They tend to speak bluntly that such actions are disreputable and haram in the faith; the terrorist has been indoctrinated differently, he gets defensive and starts acting out, so the cultural context help and correct theological position they take proves useless.

I once interviewed Maulana Wahiduddin Khan in the 1990s for Debonair magazine no less. {Don’t ask, long story}. He is a genuine Islamic scholar and an obviously spiritual person. He went deeply into the scholarly and theological position on Jihad, the very stringent circumstances when it is pulled out as a last resort for survival. His position was crystal clear and blunt – These clowns are Fasadis – violence mongers not Jihadis   – holy warriors. I saw no reason to disbelieve him then or now. So the argument that terrorists are not representatives of Muslims or Islam is correct but they are losing the perception war. And ordinary Muslims are really in a no win situation.

What exactly can a normal citizen of a Muslim country do against heavily armed lunatics who will turn up at the door and blow up the whole neighborhood? What can clerics do expect keep rolling this boulder uphill like Sisyphus and condemn those of their tribe who radicalize young men? Governments of Muslim countries have to step up and take responsibility to stop this nonsense. Only they have the firepower, the resources and the organization to do this. And here we come to the root of the problem. These governments don’t really want to do anything about this. In too many cases they are the pillars holding up the entire enterprise of Fasad. They support the training camps and the centers and places where people are radicalized. So this impasse continues and the Muslim is marginalized more and more in other societies. It is pretty obvious that the larger public is getting fed up of this and soon parties will be voted into power that are ready to do unpleasant things, and personal liberties can take a hike.

The Muslim will live in interesting times.

The Secularists of India are entering Vaanaprastham and they dont know it

Secularists, poor dears, do not grasp that their long Grihastashrama in India is over and they are now in Vaanaprastham. By the time Modi is done, {I calculate 3 consecutive terms}, they will be in permanent Sanyassa! They are in varying stages of grief at present along the LADFAR scale – Loss, Anger, Denial, Frustration, Acceptance, Resolution – my own formulation, and you are welcome!

So completely dazed are they that some of them have taken to giving Modi instructions. Sagarika Ghosh had the temerity to tweet that he go to the Gyanvyapi Mosque also, not just to the Shiva temple and Ganga Aarti. Since a knowledge of history never seems to have burdened Ms Ghosh, we assume she does not know Hindus believe that particular mosque to be built over a demolished temple so this was a faux pax at best and hugely insulting at worst. A Pakistani journalist of all people had to point out to her that Modi’s personal religious actions need not include such irrelevance. This is what we have come to.

Gopalkrishna Gandhi, scholar of sorts, but given public space for his views only because he is the grandson of the man on our currency notes, wrote an extraordinary open letter to Modi today. He asks Modi to blindly endorse all suggestions made for constitutional posts by the Opposition and NGOS to show his strength and win people over. Read the full letter in The Hindu – which is perhaps the most ironic name for a newspaper ever! If these deluded numbskulls believe Modi has any interest in playing Prthiviraj Chauhan to their Ghori they have severely underestimated the man. He will never respond, he will ignore them, and one glum day they will accept it. But to see a Gandhi begging that the Jholawallahs not be driven into oblivion is a glorious sight. In seeking to maintain relevance, they slip into their instinctive patronizing tones, and the damage is only heightened.Gandhi also thinks that a Uniform Civil Code is an “old and hackneyed idea.” For old fogies like him of course, for the rest of us it is going to happen finally. So all the anti-Hindu secularists out there, ponder these words of Oliver Cromwell to the Rump Parliament, as you fade into irrelevance – “You have sat too long for any good you have been doing lately… Depart, I say; and let us have done with you. In the name of God, go!”
